The Intercession of the Virgin Mary is a project that explores the semantic and functional aspects of fabric, using photographs and articles from the Propp Center's archive. The Propp Center is a non-profit organization that focuses on humanitarian research into traditional culture, as well as the preservation and study of Russia's cultural and social heritage.


The publication consists of two objects — a zine containing textual information and a handkerchief with materials from the film photo archive of Yuri GalevThe structure of the zine is divided into three parts and considers three aspects of the cloth: the cloth as part of the interior, the cloth as an element of clothing and the cloth as an amulet.





The format of the book is determined by the size of the folded handkerchief
